"Willow?" Tara whispered again when no one responded. She stepped into the cabin and noticed Willow curled up in a ball on Tara's bed. Deciding to let her roommate sleep, Tara turned and started to walk out of the cabin.

"Tara?" Willow replied, her voice barely loud enough to hear. Tara stopped dead in her tracks, her mouth suddenly going so dry that she couldn't respond. She slowly turned and saw her roommate staring at her with half opened eyes.

"I sh-should go and l-let you s-s-sleep," Tara said as she turned back to leave the cabin.

"No wait Tara, don't go," Willow quickly said as she jumped out of bed, forgetting that her feet were all cut up. When her foot touched the ground, she fell back onto the bed, clutching her foot in pain. The moment Tara heard the wince of pain she forgot all about her hurt feelings from the morning and quickly rushed to Willow's side.

"Oh m-my god Willow, what happened?" Tara said while examining Willow's feet.

"Nothing, I just... uh. Well this morning after you ran off, I kind of ran after you without any shoes, which wasn't my smartest idea seeing as I followed you into the forest where there were rocks and sticks and branches and other various foot cutting utensils! Not that I can really call them utensils because they aren't really used for cutting people's feet, but these ones kinda were, so I maybe could call them utensils, but overall they aren't used for that, so really I couldn't! Ok, just forget about the utensils part, the point is..."

"You cut your feet while running after me?" Tara cut Willow off. Willow could see Tara's eyes getting watery.

"Oh no. Don't blame yourself for this! This was my fault! I was the stupid one who said those awful words. And Tara, I swear I didn't mean what I said! You kinda came in at a very bad time!" Willow tried to explain.

"N-no, I know! Buffy explained it to m-me!" Tara replied, trying to reassure Willow that she wasn't mad about what happened!

"Really? Uh, what exactly did she say? Willow asked, worried that Buffy may have revealed her true feelings for Tara.

"Um, just that she was trying to tell you about her and Faith, and so she tried to f-find out if you w-were interested in m-me to make it easier on her, and you s-said you d-didn't like me that way, but she kept asking, and then you got frustrated and yelled out that you didn't like m-me, but I t-took it the wrong way! I'm s-sorry that I over reacted!" Tara said! Willow could tell that she was really having trouble getting out what she wanted to say.

"What do you mean 'over reacted'? You didn't over react at all Tara! I mean I would have reacted way worse than that if the situation were reversed!" Willow exclaimed. She couldn't believe that Tara was apologizing for what happened.

"R-really?" Tara asked with a questioning smile. Willow's insides turned to mush at the sight of that smile! She took in a deep breath before continuing.

"Totally! I mean, I care about you so much Tara. I would have been totally devastated if you said you didn't like me!" Willow said as Tara lowered her head in embarrassment. She let her hair fall down over her face to hide her burning cheeks.

"Why do you do that? Why do you always hide your face when someone gives you a compliment? You should never hide your face. I mean you're so beautiful!" Willow felt like her stomach fell to her feet. She couldn't believe she just told her that! Tara raised her head just enough so she could look into Willow's eyes. Willow's head started spinning as she noticed the intensity in Tara's eyes. She reached out and tucked a stray piece of hair behind Tara's ear like she had done so many times before, just longing to taste Tara's sweet lips. She was about to pull back like she always did, but this time she couldn't ignore her feelings. The look in Tara's eye was just too intense for her to pull back. She lowered her head and pressed her lips against Tara's. Willow's world exploded the moment she felt Tara kiss her back. She had never felt anything as wonderful as this in her whole life. The two girls started to rhythmically open and close their mouths. Willow moaned as Tara slowly snuck her tongue into her mouth. Willow met Tara's tongue with hers as they both deepened the kiss. Willow slowly pushed Tara down on the bed, never breaking the kiss. She shifted her weight to make sure Tara was comfortable while massaging Tara's tongue with her own. She made a trail of kisses down Tara's neck until she got to the part where the neck and the shoulder met. She sucked the flesh into her mouth, causing Tara to moan, until she was satisfied with the mark she left. She kissed her way back up Tara's neck and rejoined their lips. Willow finally broke the kiss after remembering that she needed oxygen to live! She got off of Tara and sat up on the bed.

"I'm sorry," Willow said; her mind totally blank. She suddenly felt very uncomfortable.

"I-I'm.. uh. I'm not!" Tara replied, hoping to god that Willow didn't think it was a mistake.

"You're not?" Willow said with a big grin on her face. She looked at Tara who smiled back.

"N-no. I'm uh, I'm happy it happened!" Tara replied, suddenly feeling very nervous.

"Me too! I've actually wanted it to happen for a long time now!" Willow exclaimed, ecstatic that Tara wasn't freaking out; that she wanted it to happen too!

"S-so, what happens now?" Tara asked, feeling as though a huge weight was lifted. Willow sat there for a minute trying to gather up every ounce of courage in her body.

"Tara, do you uh, do you want to be my girlfriend?" Willow sat there for what seemed like forever waiting for an answer. Tara looked up at Willow and smiled.

"I don't think I've ever wanted anything so badly!"
