There she sat. Bundled in blankets of warm and comforting wool layers. Her legs tucked tightly to her chest, and her arms holding them tightly. She pushed herself back into the corner depth of the couch letting out a small sigh. Her head was the only the skin showing. The long blonde hair flowed gently down, spreading around the blankets. The red puffiness of her deep blue eyes showed sadness. While in the saddened mood, Tara had turned the lights off lighting candles in the living room. The candles gave off a light glow, the shadows around the room seemed large and chilling. Of course she knew this wasn't the way to get in a better mood, but sulking came before the comfort.

A soft knocking at the front door disturbed her confused thoughts. Deciding it would be easier not to answer the door due to her emotional level and the fact it would take a good five minutes to unravel herself from the blankets.

"Tara?" A hesitant voice came threw the door. "Well, I guess your not home. I'll leave."

As soon as the soft voice pierced through Tara's mind, she quickly jumped up off the couch. Only to be brought back down with a loud thud on the floor. Struggling to free herself from the forest of blankets she huffed and puffed, thrashing.

"Even though you're not home, even if there was just a loud thud, I just wanted to...."

Tara raced to the door finally freeing herself, she stood in front of the door.

"I wanted to apologize, Tara. I was stupid and unthoughtful. It's just when I think about you."

Tara placed her hand up against the wooden door, spreading her fingers then closing them back up again, hoping to bring comfort to the small redhead outside her door.

Willow had reached up mimicking Tara's hand movement on the other side of the door.

"Tara, you mean so much to me but, when you told me he had... he cheated on me I couldn't believe it. I trust you its just... I really thought he loved me. Oh God I am so stupid, Tara. I should have come by so much sooner then this. I can't stand knowing that your mad at me. Knowing that I hurt you. It hurts that I hurt you. It hurts that I haven't seen you in so long. I miss you. I miss you and your smile, your voice, I miss you Tara. Please forgive me..." Tara had reached for the door knob while Willow was pleading for her forgiveness. "Listen to me. I'm standing outside somebody's door who hates me while it's pouring, and worse I'm babbling" Without another word Willow left the door and started walking down the pathway to her car. It was heavily raining and the only light that penetrated the darkness was the light on Tara's porch. Tears started streaming down Willow's face but were hidden by the rain water.

"Willow I never hated you, I never could." Willow froze in her spot, her head hanging low.

After a long moment of silence again Tara spoke up.

"I love you Willow Rosenberg." Willow still hadn't moved from her spot. She heard soft footsteps coming from behind her. Tara's steps were slow each step took a breathe of air. Willow felt Tara gently lace their hands together. Willow couldn't believe this person next to her. She was just amazing. She thought she couldn't love her anymore. All this time Willow had known Tara, she always knew she loved her but right now in this very second she knew that Tara was hers. She could feel it, it surged threw her entire being. Willow felt Tara's free hand caress her cheek making Willow look up into Tara's eyes. The eyes that she would never get tired of looking into. The eyes that showed all of Tara's true being, her soul. Willow was proud that Tara trusted her enough to let her look so deeply into her.

"Tara Maclay I love you." Willow whispered still making eye contact.

Time seemed to have slowed down. The rain seemed to have froze in place and the darkness seemed lighter. They both wrapped each other in a loving embrace. Tara had wrapped her arms around Willow's neck as Willow hugged Tara's waist.

And yet again Tara proved Willow wrong. Willow thought that there was love but never what she was feeling right know could explain it.

Will it ever end... my growing love for you?

"I hope not." Tara smirked.

"What?" Willow asked in aw.

"Well you were thinking if your love for me would grow forever. I hope so. I already figured that mine will. Willow, every second I'm near you I can't help to love you more and..."

Tara was stopped as Willow's lips pressed tenderly against hers.

Nothing else was said or had to be said as they broke apart. They knew that kiss sealed their fates. They were meant for each other. They were one of the few that found their true other half. Their soul mate.
