It was 1pm that same afternoon, and Tara had already been at for the past 3 hours, working on the last minute details of the Michelle Branch concert. Every time she stopped for a few seconds her mind wandered off to thoughts of a certain redhead, and whether or not she should invite her to LA for the concert. The previous night Anya and Cordelia had been pretty unwavering about the fact that she should ask Willow to go with her, and had even threatened to call Willow on Tara's behalf if Tara hadn't asked Willow herself by Thursday... and it didn't help that Thursday was tomorrow! 'Which means that I have to ask her today... Oh God, oh God' Tara thought, before shaking her head and going back to her work. 'I'll cross that bridge when I come to it... right now let's concentrate on not freaking out'.

There was a knock on her door, and Tara absent-mindedly said 'Come in'. A second later she heard the door openm and looking up she saw Buffy standing there, her hand raised to wave slightly. "Hey Tara" she smiled, how's it going?"

Tara smiled, giving Buffy her full attention as she said "It's crazy! You have no idea how lucky people that just buy tickets to concerts are! They don't have to go through all the organizing and stuff!" she said, letting out a dramatic sigh for good effect, which left both girls grinning. "So how's your first day going?"

"No bad! I just got my phone and Gabrielle's given me a better briefing on what my job function will be here. I gotta tell ya, it's so much nicer than serving greasy food all day!" Buffy laughed. "So how ARE the concert preparations going?"

"We're pretty much on schedule. I just have to wrap up some minor details and mail them across to the concert organizers for their approval, and we're set! It looks like it's gonna be one helluva concert. Apparently Michelle's not only doing her stuff, but she'll also be singing some of her personal favourites, and she's got some guest performers coming too, so yeah, it sounds really good right now!" Tara replied.

"Wow! That sounds amazing! Gabby said that soon I'll get to travel with her to concerts and stuff if I want, so that should be fun! Well, do me a favour and get me an autograph of Michelle?" Buffy asked.

"Sure thing" Tara replied. "And yeah, traveling is a whole lotta fun, I'm sure you'll love it" Tara smiled.

"Anyway, I'm gonna leave you to your work now. How about we catch a bite or something when you get back from LA?" Buffy asked?

"Sure thing... you take care" Tara smiled, before Buffy left the room after giving Tara a short wave again.

It was now a quarter to 7 that same evening, and Tara was just wrapping up the final details of the concert coverage. The blonde had only taken a break to call the kids and tell them where the spare key was since she couldn't teach them today, and go out to the coffee machine once, and had spent the rest of the time cooped up in her office, typing away on her laptop. Finishing the final detail she threw her hands up in the air and let out a deep breath. "Finally" she muttered to herself, opening her email to send the document to the concert organizers, who would approve the details and working of the deal and send her a reply by the next day. As she waited for her mail to open Tara's mind began to wander... 'It's Wednesday night... and I still haven't asked Willow if she wants to come to LA for the concert... Tara, do you WANT Anya and Cordelia to call her and make a mess out of things???" she questioned herself.

As if on cue, her cell phone began to ring. Glancing down at it as it lay on the table Tara's eyes widened and she made a grab for it, to pick it up as fast as possible. "Hello?" she said, trying to sound as calm as possible. 'Why does she have this effect on me???' she wondered, as she heard a voice on the other end say "Hey Tara... it's Willow..."

'Ok don't sound stupid... don't sound stupid...' Willow was repeating to herself, as she waited for Tara to respond.

"Willow... Hi..." Tara said. 'Hi??? You've been thinking about her all day and that's the best line you could come up with... Hi????'

"How are you...?" 'Could you BE any more formal???' Willow's mind screamed.

"I'm good... how about you?" Tara asked. 'Oh yeah, that's LOADS better than Hi...'

"I'm good too... I just didn't see you at college today, and you weren't there to teach the kids either, so I was wondering if everything's ok with you?" Willow spoke. 'And now you've managed to make yourself sound like a stalker'

"Oh, I came in, but I only had one class today. When I got out I looked for you..." 'Too desperate too desperate' her mind warned as she quickly added "...And the others, but I guess you guys were in class. Then I rushed straight into work, and that's where I've been ever since" Tara completed.

"Oh" Willow said. There was silence for a moment, as Willow and Tara both contemplated asking each other out for coffee that night, but both were too chicken to actually voice their thoughts. "So... umm... I guess I'll see you Friday to teach the kids... and maybe I'll see you at college tomorrow... if you're not rushing off to work that is." Willow stated, thinking 'Oh God please lemme see her tomorrow... today's been hard enough without her...'

"Oh definitely" Tara smiled, and Willow could have sworn she could hear the blondes lop sided grin in her voice!

"Ok then... I'll see..." Willow started, only to be cut off by Tara, who'd decided it was now or never...

"Willow, Buffy was telling me that you're a huge Michelle Branch fan, and we're covering her concert in LA on Sunday, and I was wondering if you wanted to come to LA with me to watch the concert???" Tara said, all in one breath so she didn't chicken out of saying any of it!

Willow's mind took a moment to register what had been just been asked 'Sunday... in LA... Michelle Branch... WITH TARA!!!...' Without giving it a second thought Willow heard herself saying "I'd love to go with you Tara"

Tara let out a breath that she didn't even realize she'd been holding "Cool... I'll tell ya the details of when we leave and stuff at college tomorrow?"

"Yeah, that sounds great... so I'll see you then... you take care ok?" Willow asked, grinning from ear to ear. 'Tara asked me to go to LA with her! Yay!'

"You too Willow... see ya" Tara smiled into the phone 'She said yes she said yes!!!'

Putting the phone down Willow did a little dance, before standing still. 'Oh crap... what am I gonna wear???' she thought, rushing to her closet to bring out every single piece of clothing she owned!

Back in the Sunnydale Radio Station headquarters, Tara was busy dialing Anya's cell phone number. "Hey Tara" Anya said, answering the call.

"SHE'S COMING TO THE CONCERT!!!!" Tara practically yelled, unable to contain her excitement.

"There ya go" Anya said, and you could hear the grin in her voice. "Now all we have to do is make her fall madly in love with you!"
